OUR OUTLET CASH DRAWER CONNECTOR — WINDOWS 10/11

1. Connect an ESC/POS-compatible cash drawer to the receipt printer's DK/RJ11/RJ12 drawer port with the manufacturer's correct cable. Install that printer in Windows. A drawer is usually not connected directly to the laptop. Direct USB adapters need their manufacturer's protocol; this connector supports Windows RAW ESC/POS printer queues.
2. Extract this folder somewhere temporary. Double-click Setup.cmd on the billing PC, enter the full system URL (online/offline URLs can be comma-separated), then copy the displayed pairing code. No administrator access is needed. Windows PowerShell 5.1 and the Windows print spooler are required.
3. Billing POS > Auto Drawer > blue settings icon: paste Pairing Code > Connect > select receipt printer > Test Open. Try Pin 5 if the printer manual specifies it; default is Pin 2. Save and enable Auto Drawer. Allow Chrome local-network access if prompted. Settings belong to this business and this browser/Chrome desktop profile.
4. Connector starts at Windows sign-in. Setup must run on the same PC where Billing POS is open. Phones/tablets do not send commands to a different PC. The connector is bound only to 127.0.0.1:17839 and accepts only paired website origins plus the random pairing code.

Order rules: only a newly saved Billing POS order. COD, Udhaar/credit, pending/partial payment, and dine-in are excluded. Cash, card and online paid orders are eligible, as requested. Reprinting, history, KDS, failed saves and already-saved orders do not trigger a kick. This does not change payments, totals, receipts, sync, or licensing.

Physical hardware has not been tested. Successful command submission means Windows accepted a five-byte drawer pulse, not proof that the drawer opened. In the printer driver's own options disable automatic drawer-opening on every print; otherwise that driver can independently open it for excluded orders or KDS prints. Use a RAW-capable ESC/POS printer queue; USB label printers are not drawer controllers.

If it does not open: check printer power/connection, physical drawer lock, driver RAW support, cable and pin; check %LOCALAPPDATA%\OurOutletDrawer\connector-error.txt if connector cannot start. If a job failed, automatic retries are deliberately disabled to avoid duplicate openings. Test Open can be used to diagnose it; the order remains saved.

Uninstall: turn Auto Drawer off in the POS; remove OurOutlet Drawer.lnk from shell:startup, sign out/in, then delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\OurOutletDrawer. To add another allowed URL, rerun Setup.cmd then restart the connector/sign out and in. Keep your pairing code private. This connector never downloads code or transmits payment/customer data.
